Apparently I am one hexagon away from reaching Pure Radical Centerism
The Guardian seeks revenge on their rebellious colonies by picking fights on American Thanksgiving by !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . These are !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , but it’s Thanksgiving, all your convictions are bad, and you should feel bad.

Ha ha my results are insulting and completely off base. the one word interpretation ones probably threw it way off.

Took it 3 times, got the same result even though my answers slightly varied.

I too am only one or two hexagons away from the center. I am also too lazy to get rid of the pop-up.

So you’re Macron’s right-hand man

Whimsy indeed. Surprised how centrist I come across, since I think of myself as a conservative-leaning libertarian.

Lmao I thought the vertical axis was supposed to be Authoritarian at the top and Libertarian at the bottom, not “populist” and “non-populist”.
Political compass tests are dumb anyway since there’s no option for “elitist asshole”.

Started quiz, a nswered 10 questions, not sure how many are left. 1o more? 90? Ugh, I don’t feel like answering 100 questions. *closes tab without finding out *

It seems like I’m one of those very normal liberal cucks.
Also lol that they put Obrador as more left wing than Obama.

Yeah...one of them.

Did someone say AMLO?

It had me closest to Sanders, but the question structure meant that I appeared slightly to the right of him, instead of to the left.
Of course, it also depends on interpretations of “conservatism” and “nationalism” that may not translate well. In some definitions, Obama would be a decent example of a conservative (with Trump being a radical, and with Sanders being less radical than you’d think). S ome people define “nationalism” and “patriotism” as synonyms , some people define “nationalism” as negative and “patriotism” as positive...

Mine was pretty much identical to yours. I won't lie, I've never heard of this guy but I'm not exactly up to date on the politics of Spain.

Politics in Spain is a cluster fuck. I normally don’t vote even if they send me the ballot on the mail (late, but still)

I’m not quite sure they got Obrador right.... enough.... he’s more conservative.
I mean... he’s not wanting to raise taxes even with a widening inequality, and his coalition included the hyper-socially conservative PES party...

I d on’t understand this political compass. I like political triangle it makes the most sense to me.

Sanders spent his honeymoon in the USSR...in the winter. That’s fairly radical.

I’m most like Obrador, and least like Cheetolini.
So I’m moving south. See ya!

freedom to do absolutely anything you want - that the point, (and problem....)

Extremely disappointed that you weren’t just “most similar to Stef.”
(I guess? Some of these questions were confusing—like do they mean my pessimistic view of things as they are, or my opinions on how they should be? Because I’ve got a heckuva low opinion of the way things are, as my graph probably gives away.
)

I took it as your ideal government. I’m cool with similar to Stef though.

Same. Weird, though.

That’s about where I ended up. I don’t really know about Obrador, but I think Obama was reasonably placed, given that his policies were quite centrist (Republican screaming about him being the biggest Socialist ever notwithstanding), and the fact that the UK in general, and T he Guardian in particular are somewhat to the left of the US, which presumably shifted their axis a bit.

I think that Obrador is often mischaracterized as a left winger because of how the media treats him and because of how often he changes his message.
I think he’s socially libertarian (no fucks given and little said about it ) and fiscally somewhat conservative but not in the typically thought sense .
Like, he’s against neoliberalism but also against raising taxes and government regulation.... so it’s kind of an odd mixture. I think his economic policies will probably disfavor foreigners and small businesses.
I think that if he was judged by his actions as mayor of Mexico City, he’d be considered a moderate conservative
